Strong feelings and emotions such as anger are our natural calls to action. Sometimes, they can overwhelm us. We can lose our ability to think clearly. We can react in ways that deepen our suffering and harm our relations with others. Talking to a counsellor can help find the sources of difficult feelings and emotions. With new understanding and insight, we can develop more effective ways of responding.
Anger Management Program
This six-session individual program provides a structured and evidence-informed approach to understanding and managing anger. Integrating cognitive-behavioural, mindfulness, and emotion-regulation methods, each 60-minute session focuses on developing self-awareness, improving emotional control, and strengthening communication in challenging situations. Participants gain the most value through regular attendance, active engagement, and consistent practice of strategies between sessions. A formal letter of completion may be provided upon full participation, summarising engagement and learning outcomes, while noting that completion does not guarantee behavioural change.
